Who are we?
The Clausthal RainRiders are the canoeing group of the TU Clausthal Sports Institute.
The RainRiders were founded around 1998, when there was a change of leadership in the university's canoeing group. A short time later, we called ourselves RainRiders, a name that seemed obvious in rainy Clausthal.
What do we do?
At the TU Clausthal we can familiarize ourselves with paddles and boats in the leisure pool and at the boathouse. From general paddling and boating techniques to the infamous roll and practice for canoe polo, everything is practiced.
Trips to the Oker valley and other white water routes are on the agenda, as are canoe polo tournaments throughout Germany and Clausthal itself.
The focus is on having fun paddling.
The training is aimed at both advanced paddlers and those who have never sat in a canoe before.
If you are interested, simply send us an e-mail or drop by for a non-binding training session.
The best way to do this is to register directly in the TU Clausthal university sports system.
