Clausthal style rules

We play according to the generally applicable rules of the German Canoe Association.

However, there are a few deviations in the Clausthal style ;-)

1. the focus is on having fun and consideration for weaker players. Fair play is therefore paramount. Anyone who wants to take the rules to the extreme is out of place with us.

2. we play four against four due to the size of the hall.

3. we are organizing a mixed tournament. Each team must therefore have at least one man AND one woman on the water at all times.

4. hand attack, pushing: The latter only against players who have mastered the role. Those who do not are marked with a red armband or floating feet. They may not be pushed, but also not shoved. If players who are not able to roll are pushed, a penalty/free shot is given.

5th penalty: normal from a distance of 6m

6. rebounds from the goal frame: Despite the adverse conditions, only rebounds that are also recognized as such by us apply, and not "but it would have bounced if...".

7. springboard: The springboard counts as a "ceiling". It then continues according to the usual rules...
